Why use a generated block pattern?
A dome uses the upper half of a voxel sphere. The layer view makes it easier to keep every ring centered as the roof narrows.
Set the diameter of the dome base.
Choose a hollow shell or solid structure.
Build upward one displayed layer at a time.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a full sphere cut in half?
Yes. The tool uses the upper hemisphere of the generated voxel sphere.
Can I use it as a roof?
Yes. Shell mode is designed for dome roofs and uses much fewer blocks than solid mode.
Why do some adjacent layers look similar?
Voxel rounding can produce consecutive slices with the same footprint, especially on larger domes.
